We are constantly plugged in, over-caffeinated, and burnt out. We wanted to build a space where you could step out of the daily grind and into a timeline where connecting with people is the priority.
Guided by our dedicated local crew, Decades was designed to bridge the rich, ancient traditions of the South Pacific with the nostalgic, electric energy of the eras we grew up in. Whether you are sinking into a booth to remote-work with an espresso, grinding a high score on the arcade cabinet, or clinking shells with strangers at the bar, this is your space to unwind.
THE ROOT (KAVA)
Kava is an earthy botanical root native to the South Pacific islands like Fiji and Vanuatu. It has been used for over 3,000 years to promote deep physical relaxation, ease social anxiety, and bring communities together without the hangover.
THE LEAF (BOTANICAL DRAFTS)
Our botanical teas on tap are brewed from a traditional Southeast Asian evergreen leaf. Depending on the blend, it provides fast-acting focus, uplifting energy, or smooth social vibes, making it the perfect daytime or evening alternative.
THE CHEER (BULA)
When we drink, we raise our shells and say "BULA!" (pronounced boo-lah). Far from a modern invention, this is a genuine Fijian word meaning "life" and "good health." It has been used respectfully in South Pacific kava ceremonies for centuries as a toast to community and connection.
THE PATIENCE
Kava has a "reverse tolerance," meaning your body needs to get used to it. If it is your first time, it might take two or three shells before you feel the signature wave of calm. Take your time, sip, and let the timeline slow down.
